Silence Archives: Terminal

Protocol 47 Press ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data Silence Archives: Terminal ("the Game") does and does not collect, and how any collected data is handled. We built this Game as an indie, single-player, offline-capable experience. We have no interest in harvesting your data. This policy is written to be transparent and straightforward.

01

What Data We Collect

Game Save Data The Game stores your progress (save files, settings, unlocked content) locally on your device. If you have Steam Cloud enabled, your save data is also synchronized through Steam Cloud. We do not have access to your save data. It is stored on your device and/or Valve's servers. Steam Achievements and Statistics The Game records achievements and gameplay statistics (e.g., completion flags, in-game milestones) through the Steam platform. This data is managed entirely by Steam.

02

What We Do NOT Collect

To be clear, the Game does not collect: - Personal information (name, email, address, phone number) - Device identifiers or hardware fingerprints - Analytics or usage telemetry - Crash reports - Location data - Browsing or search history - Any data from other applications on your device We do not operate any servers that receive data from the Game. There are no "phone home" connections, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics SDKs embedded in the Game.

03

Third-Party Services

Steam (Valve Corporation) The Game is distributed through Steam and uses Steam APIs for achievements, statistics, and Cloud saves. Your use of Steam is governed by Valve's own privacy policy: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/ We do not receive personal information from Valve. We only receive aggregated, anonymized statistics (e.g., total number of players who earned a specific achievement). AI Service Providers (Optional) The Game includes an optional AI-powered content generation feature. To use this feature, you must provide your own API key for an OpenAI-compatible service. When you use this feature: - Your API key is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to Protocol 47 Press. - Requests are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you configured. We do not proxy, intercept, or log these requests. - The data you send to the AI provider and the responses you receive are governed by that provider's privacy policy and terms of service. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any AI provider before using this feature.

04

Data Storage and Security
